Life often throws unexpected challenges our way, and last year was no exception for us at Creative Awnings & Shelters. We faced one of the toughest periods in our history—but those challenges ultimately became the catalyst for positive change. The Ice Storm That Sparked Change It all began with an ice storm that hit many of our customers hard—and we were no exception. The storm caused extensive damage to our building, leaving us without power, internet, and phones for two weeks. While navigating the immediate difficulties, we realized this was our opportunity to reimagine the showroom we’ve always dreamed of creating. A Fire That Tested Our Resilience Just a few months later, in July, a fire broke out at our location. The sight of three firetrucks arriving was unforgettable. It was one of those moments where your heart sinks, and you wonder if everything you’ve built could be lost. Thanks to the quick and heroic efforts of the Eugene-Springfield Fire Department, the fire was contained. While it damaged two outdoor sheds and left marks on the exterior of our building, the core of our operation and the spirit of our team remained intact. That experience inspired us to not only rebuild but to improve in every possible way. A Showroom Reimagined Over the past year, we’ve been hard at work transforming our space and our processes.
